The first-person action game CRIME BOSS ROCKAY CITY has an all-star cast and is a worthy rival to the Grand Theft Auto series.
The unveiling of a few of the 2022 Game Awards games came as a surprise. Alongside “Hades 2,” “Armored Core 6,” “Final Fantasy 16,” and “Death Stranding 2,” there were several debuts. Crime Boss Rockay City, a first-person organized crime shooter, made the latter list. The amazing star list includes several 90s-era actors.
Crime Boss Rockay City has been likened to “Grand Theft Auto,” but it’s different. Crime Boss: Rockay City features turf conflicts and organized crime with gameplay similar to “Payday 2” and a celebrity cast to bring the city to life. Its Game Awards section didn’t go into depth, but it did expose some critical details.
When Is the Crime Boss Rockay City Release Date?
Crime Boss will arrive on PC on MARCH 28, 2023 through the Epic Games Store. There was no indication of a release date for the console versions, although they will be available later in 2023.
Crime Boss: Rockay City’s release date was revealed during The Game Awards. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S users will have to wait longer than PC players before Epic Games Store exclusive ends. 505 Games also announced how to pre-order the game. Up to December 10, pre-orders are eligible for a discount of forty percent.

Before Crime Boss’s final presentation, 505 games tweeted a mysterious teaser featuring Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill actor Michael Madsen. The trailer’s QR code prompted viewers to “Visit Rockay City” with a Game Awards countdown.
What is the Storyline behind Crime Boss Rockay City?
In Crime Boss: Rockay City, Travis Baker tries to seize control of Rockay City’s criminal underworld in 1990s Florida. After the previous criminal boss’s demise, turf battles and robberies ensue.

505 Games calls Criminal Boss Rockay City a “co-op organized criminal FPS.”
In reality, this means you may pick crew members based on their strengths throughout the single-player game. Up to four players may “conduct stunning hits and heists” in PVE co-op.
Crime Boss: Rockay City’s single-player plot is a first-person shooter version of GTA, while the co-op multiplayer may combine GTA Online with Payday heists.
You play Travis Baker (Goodfellas’ Michael Madsen), a legendary 1900s Florida criminal. Baker forms a gang and battles other criminal lords to become the mafia leader.
Up to four players may participate in turf fights, heists, and orchestrated hits in Crime Boss’ PvE co-op mode. Co-op goals give your group control of the city until you’re the last.

Madsen presents Geoff Keighley with a wallet he discovered in the parking lot. Chuck Norris, Danny Trejo, Danny Glover, Damion Poitier, Kim Basinger, Michael Rooker, and Vanilla Ice join Madsen in Crime Boss. Each character will contribute into the single-player tale, although details are unknown.
Neil Ralley, president of 505 Games, said the sheer amount of talent participating in Crime Boss is fascinating. “We’re excited to introduce this organized criminal game to players worldwide.”
Michael Madsen previously played Toni Cipriani in Grand Theft Auto III. He also appeared in Yakuza, Dishonored, The Walking Dead: Season 2, and True Crime: Streets of LA.
